The southern part of Hyogo Prefecture is home to Kobe City,the prefectural capital. There are many famous tourist spots. I will introduce my recommended places. It’s close to Osaka and has good access!! It is better to rent a car or take a taxi to tourist spots in the countryside that are inconvenient. Check to see if there is free wi-fi.

Kobe City

Kobe is a port city,sothere was a lot of interaction with foreign countries.There are many buildings with Western influences.

Himeji Castle

Himeji Castle is very large,with 19 gates remaining. It’s a national treasure and world heritage site.

Local school go on field trips. This is a famous temple in this area.

Sayo Castle Ruins

Sayo Town, located in the southwestern part of Hyogo prefecture,is a very peaceful town. There is only a small shrine in the castle ruins. Hormone udon is a specialty! Renting a car is the best way to explore the area.

Jyodo-ji Temple

The hall and the statue inside are national treasure. It’s close to an area with many golf courses, so we recommend renting a car to explore the area.

Tada Silver Copper Mine

At its peak around 1560, it was an important source of revenue for the shogunate. You can tour for free.

Tada Shrine

This shrine has been famous locally since it was built in 970.
