Okayama Tourist Attractions!!

Okayama Prefecture has little rain and earthquakes.There is a Japanese fairy tale called Momotaro.The story is about Momotaro and his friends going out to defeat evil demons.Okayama has a long history,hot springs,and is famous the fruit Muscat.

Access is via Okayama Momotaro Airport and Okayama Shinkansen Station.The train is 45 minutes from Osaka.Okayama Prefecture is very large,so a rental car is a good option for sightseeing.There aren’t as many people here as in Tokyo or Osaka.

Okayama Castle

Korakuen Garden is next to Okayama Castle.

The castle and the garden are connected by a bridge,so I was able to explore smoothly.

Kibitsu Shrine is national treasure.

This is where the god who was the model for the fairy tale Momotaro is enshrined.The long corridor is a magnificent piece of architecture.

Kino Castle Ruins

It is a mountain castle built around 700.The view is amazing!

Bitchu Matsuyama Castle is lived a cat.

This place is famous for the castle in the sky.I was impressed by the view.I met the cat lord.The cat name is Sanjuro.

Shizutani School is national treasure.

This school is located in a quiet mountain area.The building has remained unchanged for over 340 years.

Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter

This is the tourist center of Kurashiki City.It’s popular because it’s easily accessible.There are cafes and art museums.

Ohara Art Museum

Tsuyama Castle is a famous cherry blossom spot!

This is a castle that is very famous for its cherry blossoms.Yes, and it’s perfect for spring time of year.

Okayama has many hot springs.

Take a look!There is a hot spring that dogs can enter.I washed my dog thoroughly.This is a rare spot even in Japan.
