Nichinan City is located in the south of Miyazaki Prefecture. It has a warm climate with mountains and the sea. Why did I want to travel to Nichinan City?I heard it was a place like Hawai.Along the coast you will want to stop and take photos! It takes 1 hour and 45 minutes by plane from Tokyo to Miyazaki, and 1 hour and 10 minutes from Osaka.Let’s go on a journey!
1. A historical walk through Obi Castle Town
Obi Castle is the residence of the feudal lord Ito family. It is a beautiful town with samurai residences and stone walls remaining. Carp are swimming in the waterway.

2. The shrine inside the cave is a must-see!
Gion Shrine
Gion Shrine and Udo Jingu Shrine is located in a cave at the mouth of the sea. The inside of the cave is filled with silence.They are wonderful scenic spots.
Udo Jingu
Udo jingu shrine located in a cave by the sea is a very beautiful scenic spot. If you throw a small ball into a stone hole, your wish will come true. Let’s try it!
3. SANMESSE NICHINAN
Moai statues are officially recognized by Easter Island in Hawai. This is a tourist destination that opened in 1996. The large park has shops, restaurants, monuments, and a spectacular view of the blue ocean.
4. There is a souvenir shop alomg the drive route
Local products and food from this area are sold here. The outside of the building is a great photo spot with a view of the blue ocean. The mango ice cream sold here is delicious!!
5. Aoshima Shrine is famous
Aoshima Shrine is located near Nichinan City and is one of the tourist spots you should visit.
To get to the shrine, you have to walk across tha island. In the past, it was the realm of the gods and humans were not allowed to enter.
Aoshima island has subtropical plants.At the back of the shrine, try your hand at tile throwing.
There is a demon’s washboard around Aoshima Shrine.This is a natural monument.
