How to wash your hands
Purify your mind and body with the water from the Chozuya. There are shrines with ladles and shrines without ladles.
- First, pour water into the ladle with your right hand and pour it onto your left hand.
- Switch the ladle to your left hand and pour water onto your right hand.
- Hold the ladle again in your right hand, pour some water into your left hand, put it in your mouth, and rinse.
- Sprinkle water on your left hand again.
- Stand the ladle upright, rinse the handle with water, and return it to its original position.
Put the offering money into the offering box
Offerings are made to express gratitude to God. No problem even if you don’t put money in. Most people put money into the offertory. It doesn’t matter how much it is.
