Do you know Hiroshima Prefecture?The world heritage sites of Itsukushima Shrine and the Atomic Bomb Dome are famous,but there are many other tourist Attractions as well.I’ll show you the places I’ve traveled to.
Tomonoura
It is a port town with a panoramic view of the Seto Inland Sea.This is the setting for the Japanese animation film Ghibli’s Ponyo on the Cliff.It’s a peaceful town.
Senkoji Temple
It is a temple located on the side of mountain.This is a famous power spot in Onomichi City.The view from here is amazing.
Onomichi Ramen
There are many local ramen restaurants near Senkoji Temple.

Shimanami Kaido
The road is about 37 miles.You can cross 8 bridges and 6 islands.Cycling is also popular.
Innoshima Suigun Castle
This is the Murakami Pirates Museum.The Murakami pirates have been guarding the seas since the 14th century.This was the pirate’s flagship.
Takehara Townscape Conservation Area
I visited it even though it is not a famous tourist spot.It has a lot of historical and cultural heritage.
Yamato Museum
The official name is Kure City Naval History and Science Museum. Inside the museum, a 1/10 scale model of the battleship Yamato and battleship aircraft are on display.
Hiroshima Castle
Mori Terumoto built the castle in the 16th century.
Hiroshima Gokoku Shrine
It enshrines Hiroshima samurai who died in the Boshin War of 1868.
Atomic Bomb Dome UNESCO
This building was a convention center,but in 1945,the atomic bomb was dropped during the Pacific War and only the skeleton remaind.
I prayed for a world without war.
Peace Memorial Park
There is a memorial,a statue and a peace bell.As an international peace city,it has the role of sending out messages of peace to the world.
Okonomi Village
Okonomiyaki is a local food in Hiroshima.This building is located in the city center hiroshima.There are 23 specialty shops in the building.The dough is made from flour and cabbage and baked.It is served hot with a special sauce.
Itsukushima Shrine UNESCO
Itsukushima Shrine is a World Heritage Site.This is a very famous tourist spot.You shoud come here once.I’ve been here twice.You will travel to the shrine by high-speed boat.
At low tide you can go right up to the torii gate.At high tide you can see the torii gate floating on the water.
