In 733, Zenko Shonin carved a statue of Kannon into a tree and enshrined it. After that, the temple fell into disrepair. I covered the rain-soaked statue of Kannon with my hat. Kanehira Fujiwara, an aristocrat who wanted to marry a kind-hearted girl, approached him, and the two got married. The two rebuilt this temple.
